DIARY/JOURNAL - WORK SHEETS..

This year i have decided to get the kids to keep track of their daily activities.

In other words for them to keep a

JOURNAL OR DIARY.

Its something fun for them to do and it will come in handy, especially if one child needs my full attention during a lesson and while the other waits, they can do their journal work.
(i have three children, home-schooling this year, so they are really going to have to learn to take turns and wait patiently with one another and with their mummy. heehee.)

So each month i will plan, set work sheets and add different topics and work sheets for them to do.

Example:

^Got the kids to pick out their own folders.^

^ In the front of each folder, added in the following:
 A Project book, for J3.
A year2 Botany book, for J2 and a Year3 Botany book for J1. So they can do their daily- Story writing. ^
^Added in dividers.^

^Got cracking on making and printing, spare work sheets, so im all organised, for next months journal work  and so on and so on ...^
^Example of one of the divider sleeves in this file folder and to remind me, what i filled it with, i done up some labels, of what's inside each sleeve. ^
Example of how i set up the file folder,
1st one is spare work sheets, that they will all use, each month.
J1 has his own divider sleeve, with a few things that will be different, as he is older and can study and work on his own, so he has a few work sheets that need study time etc and have fun activities to along with the theme.
J2 has his own divider sleeve, has similar work sheets but at his level of learning, with learning to read and writing activities and a few fun things, drawing and colouring. etc.
J3 has her own divider sleeve, with her age level and a lot more picture work/colouring sheets and cut and paste work kind of work sheets.
The other divider sleeve's have worksheets, that each child will use monthly.
i have one divider sleeve, for reading, with book marks and stickers.
Example of whats in their personal folders:

Each month these will change but for example of what we are doing in January:

At the front of the pink divider, it has:
"i can write my name" it has a January space, February space, March space, April space and so on the rest of the months. (so the beginning of each month, ill get the kids to write their name and by the end of the year, it will show how well their writing has improved)
In the same space, i also printed out, a monthly weather chart that they children will tick/mark the box, of what the weather was for each day in a month.
