LEARNING TO SPELL....

One of J2' subject is:  Learning to Read;
 http://www.clp.org/store/by_course/172
and is now learning up to 30 spelling words with each lesson...
BUT
he become very board with memorising his words, by writing them out 5-10 times each.
 SO
we come up with a couple fun ways, for him to learn, and memorise his spelling words....

We purchased some block letters from Wooden It Be Lovely.we got a set of black, red and white.

J2 still has to write his word repeatedly and say each letter within the word as he writes it and then says the word, before he starts to write it again...

He then makes the word with his block letters and traces over each letter with his finger and repeats saying each letter as he does so...

and for extra memory work, he then writes his word, in the bowl of flour and says it as he writes it....

As he starts getting bored with these techniques we will be the hunt for other fun ideas and include them in lesson also.
